In the 1830s, Wu Zhesheng, the founder of the Great China Rubber Factory, ran into a team carrying a dowry on the criss-crossing streets of Suzhou. He saw boxes, cupboards, basins, barrels, tables, and chairs posted with the "double coin " pattern cut out of red paper, he suggested to use double coin as a trademark. Everyone in the factory agreed: "double " is a word that people love to hear, "double " is a symbol of auspiciousness, and "coin " is a sign of prosperity. So the Double Coin trademark was decided.

"Warrior " originated from the trademark pattern "Warrior " (Warrior, Fighter) designed by Western techniques. At that time, Zhengtai Rubber Factory Manager Xue Mingsan translated it into the Chinese homophonic "Hui Li ", which implies the meaning of "returning power ". Refers to "the great power that can overcome difficulties. TECO product design theory The TECO product design theory of Double Coin was proposed by Mr. Long Youming, a well-known expert of the older generation of tires in the 1990s, and was widely used in Double Coin all-steel radial tires. The full name of TECO is Tyre Entirety Construction Optimization theory, which is developed based on the structural characteristics of radial tires combined with contour design theory. 30 years since the TECO came out, a large number of engineers have developed and improved this theory, and it has now developed to the third generation. The introduction of stiffness distribution and unbalanced inner contour optimization design has made TECO developed from the initial safety performance calculation to a full range of structural design guidance. The jointly development of a TECO-based parametric design platform with Harbin Institute of Technology enables tire design entering the AI era.
Smart tires Smart tires are the development trending of future tires. Double Coin has been conducting research on RFID and TPMS since 2016. Smart tires integrate real-time load monitoring and remaining tread pattern monitoring on the basis of TPMS, and include RFID information.
New developments in finite element analysis Finite element analysis technology is widely used in the field of tire research. Through finite element analysis technology, it can improve tire product quality, reduce production costs, accelerate the development of new products, and adapt to market needs. In response to people s demand for tire handling and safety, the Double Coin Tire Research Institute has developed a numerical simulation platform for tire radial stiffness, longitudinal stiffness, lateral stiffness, and tire steady-state cornering stiffness. In-vehicle noise caused by tire cavity resonance when the vehicle is driving also greatly affects the vehicle s NVH. Through numerical simulation of the natural frequency of the tire, it provides reference data for the OEM.
New material research One of the core technologies of tire companies is unique raw materials, which are difficult for outsiders to copy. In recent years, Double Coin has invested in raw material research and development and has achieved some results. The research and application of various new materials such as ultra-high specific surface area white carbon black, ultra-high wear-resistant carbon black, conductive carbon black, thermal pyrolysis carbon black, cobalt-based butadiene rubber, solution polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR), etc , can open the bottleneck of formulation performance, promote the speed of formula development, and help product performance improvement.
Industry-University research cooperation Double Coin Tire Group has established cooperation platforms with a number of universities based on its own technical needs to promote in-depth research and innovation of new materials and technologies. In recent years, Double Coin and the School of Engineering of Tsinghua University have carried out cooperation in vehicle matching, and have conducted extensive and in-depth cooperation on vehicle vibration, NVH performance and OEM performance that the market is concerned about. Cooperation with Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University and South China University of Technology on a variety of new materials and technologies also provides technical support for the development of high-performance tires.
Tire noise laboratory Double Coin Tire Research Institute Co., Ltd. has been deeply involved in the field of tire noise for many years. It has established a cooperation platform for tire noise testing and research with the Institute of Acoustics of Tongji University, and has a leading position in domestic tire noise in-door testing methods. The platform has jointly constructed standards: "Tire Noise Testing Method: Drum Method " and "Test Method for Tire Inertial Sliding Passing Noise ", have obtained the engineering laboratory certification of the China Petrochemical Association. The noise engineering laboratory is currently one of the domestic benchmark laboratories and has participated in the promotion of the international standard ISO jobs.
